As a legal professional I have been trained in the complexity of disputes and the importance of the recognition of ones role. As a facilitator and mediator I have experienced that awareness of self, effective communication, acknowledgement and innovative thinking can make for better resolutions and implementation of more effective processes. I want to make a difference to my professional network by representing how dispute resolution skills can evolve ones understanding and handling of conflict. I provide a tangible and accessible resources for conflict resolution training, consultation and insight.

Education/Certifications: Certified civil and Family Law Mediator in the State of Texas. Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution- Mediation from Southern Methodist University. BS, Government legal studies from Texas Woman's University.

Favorite Part About My Job: Helping people to break down, process and make effective plans toward resolutions.

Steadfast Do's and Don'ts: Do be an optimist, believe in people, believe in good. Do have a hobby, nurture your inner self. Do take care of yourself. Don’t ever think you cannot learn more. Don’t fill space with noise. Don’t espouse negativity.

Most important qualities of a good leader: A good listener, ability to make and implement decisions efficiently, self aware and knows what they stand for. Fair in their decision making.

My Advice for women starting their careers: You have to pace yourself and have endurance to overcome failures. You have to be both resilient and creative, allowing our career to evolve into what is right for your life.

Advice I wish I'd had (or had followed): To incorporate schedules into your life as early as you can and where ever you can.

Quote I live By: "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." -William Shakespeare
