SharpHeels Career Summit is a multi-city event designed to educate women with a passion for advancing their careers. Join SharpHeels and an intimate group of your peers to hear local female leaders and career experts discuss topics such as:

Parking not included. The ticket does not include parking or transportation. We will offer some suggestions at the hotel (valet & self-parking options), but we suggest public transportation, car-pooling or ride-sharing apps.

No Refund Policy. Registration fees for SharpHeels Events are non-refundable. A registrant may transfer their registration to another SharpHeels event or transfer the registration to another person.

Panel Discussions & Workshops:

8:00-8:30 am: Check-in & Breakfast
Check-in at the registration desk and pick-up your badge and tote bag, and then enjoy some coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches and danishes before the day kicks-off! Headshots will be taken during breakfast, lunch and each break.

8:30-9:00 am: Kick-off
Our Mistress of Ceremonies will kick-off the day with an overview of the importance of Career Planning and Leadership Development and will discuss the panels and workshops for the day.

9:00-9:95 am: Successful Career Planning
Hear female executives discuss how career planning impacted their careers, how important mentors and supporters were for their careers, how they set goals and advice on negotiating a promotion.

10:00-11:00 am: Workshop: Career Planning (Part 1)
Conducted by a career coach, our career planning workshop and worksheets are designed to help attendees assess their work-related skills and values, and then build an easy career plan summary for the short-term (1 yr), mid-term (2-5 yrs) and long term (5 yrs+) goals, to keep track of the progression. They will also be asked to set and accomplish at least 3 career action items over the next 6-12 months.

11:15-12:00 pm: Overcoming Career Obstacles
Hear female executives discuss their biggest career obstacles and how they overcame them (Work-Life Balance, Office Politics, Bad Performance Review, Job Loss, Losing Career Direction, Changing Career Path, Over-Worked and Underpaid, Lacking the right education/experience, etc.)

12:00-12:45 pm: Lunch
Enjoy a long break and snack on some wraps and market fresh salad while you network with other attendees. Headshots will be taken during lunch and each break.

12:45-1:45 pm: Workshop: Career Planning (Part 2)
Build an easy career plan summary for the short-term (1 yr), mid-term (2-5 yrs) and long term (5 yrs+) goals, to keep track of the progression. They will also be asked to set and accomplish at least 3 career action items over the next 6-12 months.

2:00-2:45 pm: Being an Impactful Leader
Hear female executives discuss the most important qualities of a good leader, how to manage people by influence, even if you’re not a manager, and how to always put your team members and customer first.

3:00-3:45 pm: Workshop: Success Factors
Conducted by an executive coach, this workshop will train attendees on the key success factors for climbing the corporate ladder, how to build your professional brand, and how to be a thought leader at your company and in your industry (with a worksheet).

4:00-5:00 pm: Enhancing Executive Presence
Hear female executives discuss how they became executives and how they manage large organizations from the company strategy to the company culture.
