As the owner of Motherwell Resources LLC, a company devoted to management consulting and executive coaching, and a former CEO of a business with over 10K employees, I bring a unique perspective to my executive clients in understanding the challenges executives face as they navigate the changing business climate. Executives need a wider range of skills than ever before. The hard skills – finance, strategy development, sales, etc. – can be learned. It is the softer executive skills – listening, communicating and learning to lead and inspire – that are the differentiators for a business’ strategic and financial success. I work with my clients to help them grow within their careers.

Steadfast Do's and Don'ts: DO: Make sure that you find ways to get real, honest feedback. Listen more than you talk. Figure out healthy ways to decompress and relax. DON’T: Forget to breathe! Forget that organizations don’t love you back. Only people do. Forget that life is short - too short to be miserable in a job!

Most important qualities of a good leader: Listen. Ask questions and really listen to the answers! Have a vision of where you’re asking people to go. Inspire.

My Advice for women starting their careers: Learn how to ask for what you want.

Advice I wish I'd had (or had followed): I wish that I had found a mentor earlier in my career.
