How to Make Your Make-Up Last With You Throughout the Day
There’s nothing worse than having your make-up smear or rub off during the day. With the amount of time and money that we put into our make-up products, it should definitely be able to last us longer than lunch time. Don’t give up on your make-up just yet. There are some tips and tricks that you can do, and products you can use to supplement your make-up’s wear time.
Prime Your Face
This is one of the most important things that you should add to your make-up routine. Adding a simple primer underneath your foundation gives you a smooth canvas to create your desired look. If you have oily skin, you are going to need to search for a more oil-free matte finish, or add some pressed powder onto your skin. Besides that, there are primers with everything in mind. Primers to reduce redness, primers to cover imperfections and reduce pore size, and even primers that help with skin tone balance. The make-up world is a wonder to me and primers are where it all starts.

Eye Make-Up & Setters.
There is a separate primer made just for your eyelids, and I swear by Urban Decays Primer Potion. A little bit goes a long way, just a dab of this will eliminate the creases your eyeshadow makes after a long day. However, if you are trying to save a few bucks I would recommend NYX eyeshadow base. It is just as easy to use and intensifies your eyeshadow color. To stray away from primers finally, there is another little product that is a sure way to last you through the day. Make-up setting spray. It is literally a bottle of magic. Just spray a pump or two on your finished face of make-up, and you have coverage for the long days. Make-up setting spray is also good to use on humid or rainy days.

Lasting Lip Color.
Your choice lip color will stick to smooth, well taken care of lips. Cracks on your lips are a lipsticks worst nightmare. Try a simple sugar scrub on your lips at home, and once its rinsed off add some moisturizing balm. These are just precautionary measures to keep your lips looks refreshed. Once your lips are hydrated and free of cracks, try a lip stain. Lip stains are tricky because they actually do stain your lips. So finding the right color is key. Try a lighter shade before going too vampy, and getting stuck with it. Also, lip stains can feel very dry after a long day so keep your lip balm on hand throughout the day. Revlon’s Balm Stain has a less drying affect than most lip stains, but it is always good to keep a lip balm ready.
